Nei locali di Casa Lapi, ex Palazzo Coppi,  in via Buonarroti, 13 a Firenze, l'Associazione Nazionale "Sandro Pertini", e la Fondazione di Studi Storici "Filippo Turati" (che al momento della sua costituzione, nel 1985, fu presieduta dall'ex presidente della Repubblica, Sandro Pertini, fino alla scomparsa), hanno istituito il Museo Virtuale e Centro Espositivo "Sandro Pertini" (CESP).  Sia il Museo Virtuale che il Centro Espositivo sono dedicati alla cultura democratica e socialista del Novecento in Italia e in Europa e si propongono di affiancare le attivit� di ricerca e convegnistiche e le pubblicazioni che l'Associazione Pertini e la Fondazione Turati promuovono sin dalla loro costituzione.  L' obiettivo principale del CESP � quello di valorizzare il patrimonio documentario ed archivistico della Fondazione di Studi Storici "Filippo Turati" e dell'Associazione Nazionale "Sandro Pertini", mettendo a disposizione di ricercatori, studenti e del pubblico in genere, attraverso le nuove tecnologie informatiche documenti, immagini, materiale audio e video.
